For those of you that do not know, Lacey Rogers is an Arkansas native who is about to be featured on the upcoming season of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 22. I’ve known Lacey for awhile and every time I’ve shot with her, it’s been a breeze for two reasons:
1) She’s stunning
2) She is one of the hardest working models I’ve ever worked with
So when Lacey told me she was in the running to be ANTM, I was extremely happy for her but I wasn’t really surprised. She has it all. That jawline, that HAIR, that determination to make every single photo worth something. It’s incredible. And she doesn’t give up on shots. If it’s not working out she says, “Wait, no. Let’s try this. We can do this.” That’s what every photographer wants in a model.
When I was gathering up the imagery for this particular shoot I had a lot of shadows, darkness, urban, and style settings that wouldn’t leave my head until I did it. I knew Lacey would be perfect for this and thankfully the stylist and makeup artist, Jessica Humerick, knew just where to pull the perfect designer clothes for this shoot (thank you, B.Barnett).
I’ve been wanting to show these images off for a really long time but I’ve been having the hardest time trying to narrow them down ever since we finished the shoot. When you photograph Lacey, you don’t get just a few good shots, you get… a lot.
